Energy : a new platform to optimize the management of renewable electricity generation

In the context of climate change, this new service is part of Europe's goal of having 32% of its renewable energy by 2030.

Predict the amount of "green" resources available

Weather conditions strongly influence the production of renewable electricity sources (wind or solar) in a context of energy transition where they play an increasing role.

The platform developed by Atos and Météo-France allows producers and aggregators of renewable electricity, committed to the electricity system, to forecast the amount of "green" resources available. This service enables them to anticipate the equilibrium conditions of the system and in particular other production needs, and to better integrate renewable energies within the French and European electricity grid.

A weather-sensitive service

Based on meteorological data provided by Météo-France, production history, as well as information on physical equipment in place, Atos, through its portfolio of Codex services that rely on Big Data and analytics , together with Météo-France, has designed a service platform that uses Machine Learning algorithms to determine the most accurate forecasts possible, and thus provide a so-called weather-sensitivity service.
